CheesmanBark will be hosting a dog portrait fundraiser at Ratio Beerworks on Thursday, August 16th from 7-9pm.
This will be an opportunity for dog owners to receive a digital portrait of their pet in exchange for a $35 donation to MaxFund Animal Adoption Center. MaxFund will receive 100% of the donations.
Reservations can be made online, but walk-ins are welcome. Come enjoy refreshing beer along with lots of butt wiggles and nose boops at CheesmanBark’s Meet the Neighbors party!
Dog photographer, Alex Hopes began photographing Denver dogs as CheesmanBark in April. This will be the first dog portrait event for Alex as CheesmanBark, but he has done over 30 events as ZilkerBark (Austin dog photography). Those events have raised over $100k.

CheesmanBark is an extension of the Austin dog phenomena, ZilkerBark. For almost three years now, ZilkerBark has been celebrating the dogs of Austin by photographing floofin’ pups and letting them have their very own five-minutes-of-fame on the beloved ZilkerBark Instagram account. Everyone believes their own dog is the best, most well behaved, cutest and floofiest pup around, these accounts act as a platform for the world to see just how special each and every dog is! Much like Austin, Denver is home to animal lovers, dog enthusiasts, and the goodest dogs in the world, which is exactly why Alex Hopes, the founder of ZilkerBark decided to extend his business to Denver, Colorado. ZilkerBark has raised over $100,000 for local animal non-profits in the Austin area, and we can’t wait to begin our community engagement here in Denver as well. We’ve already met so many great Denver doggos, and we can’t wait to meet the rest!
— Can I bring a pet that is not a dog?
Yes, but please keep in mind that there will be many dogs around. It might not be the best environment for a cat, but we did have a pig show up last year who photographed wonderfully!
— Can I have more than one dog in a photo?
No, sorry! We've tried this in previous events and it has slowed us down too much. Unfortunately, you'll have to have each dog photographed individually!
— Can I have more than one print?
Yes. One donation = One photo
— Can I be in the photo with my dog?
No. Sorry, dogs only!
— How can I reserve my spot?
Tickets are available here: bit.ly/cb_benefit
Just select your time and make a (minimum) donation of $35 per image.
— What time do I need to arrive?
Your ticket will specify your time slot and it’s always our goal to run on time.
— How can I have the best time ever?
Show up with a smile on your face! Bring a leashed dog! And mingle with fellow dog lovers. Please be a responsible dog owner. Clean up after your pet, exercise them before you arrive and be mindful of the other dogs in attendance. If your dog doesn’t love people or dogs, communicate that with fellow dog owners. Keep distance if you feel your dog might react to other dogs.
