Pasta Jay’s, Boulder’s best-loved Italian restaurant, celebrates 30 years of business on July 12 with a musical block party featuring Firefall, David Gans and The Goonies.
“We’re going to celebrate with family, friends, and the entire Boulder community to thank this wonderful town for 30 years of support,” said Jay Elowsky, owner of Pasta Jay’s. “It’s going to be a hoot.”
The Boulder-based band Firefall, known for hits like, “You Are The Woman” and “Just Remember I Love You,” will highlight the musical line up, which includes performances by David Gans, and The Goonies.
The celebration will commemorate not just Pasta Jay’s anniversary, but will also celebrate the redevelopment of West Pearl Street, which has become a mecca for restaurants and thriving businesses.
The party runs from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. it takes place in front of Pasta Jay’s (1001 Pearl St.) Oskar Blues will also sponsor a beer garden for the party.
Pasta Jay’s is sponsoring the West End 3K. The festivities include a 1K race for kids, an open 3K for adults and an Elite 3K race for athletes. The races are coordinated by Troop Events Athlete Management and Powered by Pasta.
There will also be a “Battle of the West End Waiters Relay Race” open to all West End restaurant employees.
