A painter from the Western suburbs of Chicago, Vincent Gordon has always been influenced by his favorite cartoons, video games and the world around him. Coming from a middle-class family with a supportive Grandmother, community and group of artistic friends around him, the world became his class and life became his teacher. A successor of non-traditional art education and a Santa Fe Art District alum, Vincent has grown to become a household name. Gordon's art has expanded to working with the likes of PBR, Mood Mats, Hoodlab, Capital Butane, and us here at Grassroots California, Vincent's artwork has grown with the community that supports him.
Matt Robertson is best known for his matte finished caricature sculptures made of glass. His pieces are representative of moments in his life and his glass animal sculptures in hilarious situations show his fun-loving personality. Robertson is not only inspired by giraffes and other animals, he is inspired by the material itself. Matt loves the challenge of working with glass and his methods take a tremendous amount of concentration and energy. Each piece he makes captures that energy as a frozen moment in time. Robertson’s work is immediately recognizable, his pieces are genuinely unique and always convey a sense of humor.
We hope you are just as big of a fan of these two as we are! With tons of one a kind, collaborative merchandise including everything from hats to pins, and pillows to wall decor… We can't wait to see you for our third installment of the Movement Pop Up Gallery!
