Are you new to handstanding or do you find handstands to be puzzling, frustrating or intimidating?
Handstand aficionado, Tracy Hamm, will offer an in-depth introduction to this complicated and fun pose — Adho Mukha Vrksasana!
Together, we will build the pose from the bottom up, learn about safety, implement proper alignment, and practice training techniques to grow stronger and more confident towards this pose.
Through her diverse training background, she will offer different alignment systems that make for a successful, balanced and aligned Handstand.
This workshop will help a beginner learn how to move toward handstand as well as help the experienced practitioner focus on proper alignment and increased strength for holding a handstand. We will warm up the necessary muscle groups in a dynamic sequence, learn about what is anatomically occurring during Handstands, practice safety maneuvers, learn drills to build strength and balance, use the wall and use partners!
