Interested in some personal practice time?
This new initiative is a practice session that is open to all dancers of all levels. There is need in the community for dancers who want more practice time in a real dance space without paying expensive studio rental fees – this drove the creation of this new initiative
A practice session allows you to focus and practice your dancing without interruption!
Come with a partner or come without a partner and ask other dancers around if they would like to practice some things with you! Try to think of what you would like to learn or improve before coming to the class to make the most out of it!
Someone once said that...practice makes perfect!
Of course, practice is one of the best ways to solidify Lindy Hop material you may have learned. These practice sessions are a chance to get in some practice, social dance, work on a new move……on a floating, smooth wooden dance floor. While there is no dance lesson at this practice session it will be all student lead.
Bring your own music if you like.
And please, please, NO STREET SHOES, HIGH HEELS OR SPIKES
Make the most out of this time!
— Practice what you've learned in class
— Try out moves you’ve seen from other people
— Improve your fundamentals and skills
— Ask for feedback
— Ask specific questions about your own dancing or dancing in general
— Get help with things you're struggling with
To keep the practices accessible to all dancers, but also sustainable, the cost is “Pay What You Can” with a suggested donation of $5 to help cover the costs of the space rental.
